Where does it come from?

The tradition of chocosalame comes out from a typical artisan recipe of northern-eastern Italy, passed down from mother to son until it evolved into this present form, substituting all the animal products (eggs and milk) with healthy vegan options.

That's why we use flaxseed (prepared into a mushy paste) and oats blended into tasty oatmilk adding nutrients and fibers to the whole mix!
The main idea though it's to use all healthy protein sources from nuts, especially from HEMP which is also rich in essential fatty acids omega 3 and 6, vitamin B1 and B2 and potassium! The benefits of hemp are not only limited to its nutritional values, because it's also a very resilient crop that needs less water in its growth cycle, absorbing CO2 and having hundreds of usage for its fiber making it extremely energy efficient and convenient to grow!

That's why we're so proud of our chocosalame, coming out from a local tasty family tradition into the new concept of healthy food for the future!
